➤పది పరీక్షల్లో మొత్తం 11 పేపర్లు
➤ఒక్కో పేపరు 50 మార్కులు.. బిట్‌ పేపర్‌ తొలగింపు
➤ఇక మీదట బుక్‌లెట్‌ను అందజేస్తారని, అడిషనల్‌ షీట్లు ఉండవని తెలుస్తోంది.
➤బిట్‌ పేపర్‌ లేకుండా 50 మార్కులకు ఒకే ప్రశ్నాపత్రం ఇస్తారు. విద్యార్థులు బట్టీ పట్టి రాయకుండా సొంతంగా రాయగలిగేలా, ఆలోచనాత్మకంగా, సృజనాత్మకంగా ప్రశ్నలు ఇస్తారు.
➤రెండు పేపర్లలోనూ పాస్‌ మార్కులు తప్పనిసరి

➤హిందీ/సంస్కృతం మినహాయించి మిగిలిన సబ్జెక్టుల్లో ప్రతి పేపర్‌కు 2.30 గంటలు పరీక్ష రాయడానికి, 15 నిమిషాలు ప్రశ్నపత్రం చదువుకోవడానికి ఉంటుంది.
➤హిందీ/సంస్కృతం 100 మార్కులకు ఉండనున్నందున పరీక్ష రాయడానికి 3 గంటలు, ప్రశ్నపత్రం చదువుకోవడానికి 15 నిమిషాలు ఇవ్వనున్నారు.


➤ఇప్పటివరకు పదో తరగతిలో ఆయా సబ్జెక్టుల్లోని రెండు పేపర్లు కలిపి 35 మార్కులు వచ్చినా ఉత్తీర్ణులైనట్లుగా పరిగణించేవారు. ఇక నుంచి సబ్జెక్టుల్లోని రెండు పేపర్లలో ప్రతిదానిలోనూ ఉత్తీర్ణులవ్వాలని ప్రతిపాదించారు.
➤ దీని ప్రకారం.. ప్రతి పేపర్‌లోనూ 17.5 చొప్పున మార్కులు సాధించాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఇలా రెండు పేపర్లకు కలిపి 35 మార్కులు వస్తేనే ఉత్తీర్ణులుగా పరిగణిస్తారు.
➤పాత విధానంలో ఒక పేపర్‌లో 35 మార్కులు వచ్చి, రెండో దానిలో సున్నా వచ్చినా పాసవుతున్నారు.
➤దీనివల్ల విద్యార్థులు ఎందులో వెనుకంజలో ఉన్నారు.. ఏ సబ్జెక్టుల్లో ప్రమాణాలు ఉన్నాయి.. టీచర్లలో ఎవరు బాగా పాఠాలు చెబుతున్నారు.. ఎవరు చెప్పడం లేదు అనే విషయాలు తెలియడం లేదు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో ఈ ప్రతిపాదన చేశారు.
➤పాత విధానంలో ఆయా సబ్జెక్టుకు సంబంధించిన రెండు పేపర్లలో కలిపి(ఒకదాంట్లో 20, మరో దాంట్లో 15 చొప్పున వచ్చినా) 100 మార్కులకు 35 మార్కులు వస్తే ఉత్తీర్ణత సాధించినట్టు ప్రకటించారు. కానీ, ఇప్పుడు ప్రతి పేపర్‌లోనూ 17.5 మార్కులు సాధిస్తేనే పాస్‌ అయినట్లు ప్రకటిస్తారు. ఉదాహరణకు సైన్స్‌ సబ్జెక్ట్‌కు సంబంధించిన రెండు పేపర్లలో ఒకదాంట్లో 20 మార్కులు వచ్చి, రెండో పేపర్లో 15 వచ్చినా.. పాసైనట్టు పరిగణించరు. ఖచ్చితంగా రెండు పేపర్లలోనూ 17.5+17.5 రావాల్సిందే.
