This is for the recruitment of Lecturers/ Assistant Professor in Degree College and Universities as per rule and regulation of the University Grant Commission. changes have been made in the setting up of the UGC network. 100 marks for 50 questions in the first paper. Telangana State Eligibility (TS-SET) Test Schedule:

TS SET 2020 Eligibility Criteria:
1) Candidates should have passed PG Degree in the relevant subjects.
2) Candidates who are appearing for the final year PG Degree are also eligible.
3) Candidates of general category should secure at least 55% of marks. For the candidates who belong to BC/SC/ST/PH/VH categories, should secure at least 50% of marks.
4) Candidates who have appeared/appearing the qualifying Master’s Degree examination and whose result is still awaited, will be admitted provisionally provided they have to pass their Master’s Degree examination (or) equivalent with at least 55% marks (50% in case of BC/SC/ST/PH/VH candidates). They must obtain the PG Degree mark sheet within one year from the date of SET with the required percentage of marks, failing which they will be treated as disqualified.
5) Candidates have to appear in the subject of their PG only. If the subject of a candidate is not included in the list of SET subjects, the candidate may appear in UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET which is held twice a year.
6) Ph.D. degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed on or before 19th September 1991 (irrespective of date of declaration of result) shall be eligible for relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% to appear in the SET Examination.
7) There is No Upper age limit to apply for TS-SET examination.
8) A candidate can avail any number of chances.

How to Apply:
1) Candidates who wish to appear in TS SET 2020 must apply through online only.
2) Candidate must visit the TS SET 2020 official website and click on “Online Submission”.
3) Fill the online application with required details like personal and academic details
4) Upload Photo and Signature.
5) Pay the prescribed fee.
6) Take printout of confirmation page.

TS SET 2020 Exam Pattern:

The Telangana State Eligibility Test 2020 will be conducted in objective mode. The TS SET test will consist of 2 papers. All the two papers will consist of multiple choice questions and will be held on the day of examination in two separate sessions.The Test will consist of two papers. Both the papers will consist of only objective type questions and will be held in 3 Hours of duration in one session as under:

Paper – I shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/research  aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, Comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper – II shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.

All the questions of Paper-II will be compulsory, covering entire syllabi of earlier Paper
II & Paper – III (including all electives, without options).

PROCEDURE & CRITERIA FOR DECLARATION OF RESULT:
This will comprise of following steps:
Step-I:  The number of candidates to be qualified (total slots) for Eligibility for  Assistant Professor shall be equal to 6% of the candidates appeared in both the papers of SET.
Step-II: The total slots shall be allocated to different categories as per the reservation policy of Government of Telangana.

TS SET 2020 Certificate:

Candidates should note that no mark sheet will be given from the SET office either qualified or not qualified. No revaluations of papers are allowed for SET Examination. The SET agency will issue certificates to the qualified candidates after the announcement of TS SET 2020 Results careful verification of the concerned certificates of the candidate. The same photograph of the candidate which is printed on the hall ticket will also be printed on the certificate to be issued by the Office of the TS-SET.
